For the current Ford Mustang 5.0 V8 (facelift 2018), the most popular US sports car in Germany and Europe, we have developed a complete sports flap exhaust system that is technically very different from the products already on the market.
For the Ford Mustang sports exhaust system, which is suitable for both the Coupé (Fastback) and the Cabriolet (Convertible), our engineers have opted for a system with a pipe cross-section of 70 mm throughout, as well as a special design. The original center silencer is omitted and replaced by a specially designed, in-house X-pipe or optionally an H-pipe. An X-pipe for the Mustang 5.0 was previously only offered by Ford Racing, but without the obligatory ABE in this country.
Instead of the standard tailpipes, we use double-walled tailpipes with a diameter of 100 mm, designed to fit the original bumper. This special design allows extreme heat to be dissipated from the outer tips, preventing the tailpipes from annealing.
At the same time, discoloration of the tailpipes, as can be observed with the original tailpipes, is avoided. The tailpipes are optionally available in shiny stainless steel, with a black ceramic coating or in a carbon version. The shiny stainless steel version is additionally finished with the NAP logo. In this way, our sports exhaust system retains its high-quality appearance over the entire service life of the system, which is significantly longer than with the original system made of steel components.
The most important thing about a sports exhaust system, the sound, is always beyond all doubt. Our flap sports exhaust system offers a sonorous V8 sound with goosebumps guaranteed. It is fully integrated into the original flap control system. This not only makes installation easier, but also allows you to switch the flaps from sporty comfort to a throaty NAP racing sound from the cockpit as usual.
